Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Pop, popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones will be sold. The concerts will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
Tawas Point Lighthouse Tours - Friends of the Tawas Point Lighthouse will host tours of the lighthouse on Tuesdays through August from 12 noon to 4pm.

Christian Music - Jam Fest will be held at the Iosco County Fair Grounds, Saturday, July 21st from 12 noon to 6pm. Come and enjoy Christian Music performed by The Walkers, Six String Praise, Battle Kry, and Genavieve Linkowski. There will be food vendors and a family fun zone, admission is free.
Honor Veterans Motorcycle Ride - Hospice of Helping Hands of West Branch has organized a motorcycle ride to honor our Veterans. The ride will take place on Saturday, July 21st at the Ogemaw High School in West Branch, starting at 9am with registration, at 10 there will be a Bike Judging and Show, with Kickstands up at 11am.
Polka Festival - Hale Eagles #4217 is holding a "Polka Festival", July 21st at the Eagles hall in Hale. Open to the public, no cover and a cash bar. Come and enjoy The Kielbasa Kings Polka Band, from 2pm to 6pm. There will be Stuffed Cabbage, Pierogi, Kapusta & Kielbasa, Mashed Potatoes, Rye Bread served from 2pm to 6pm or until gone. Also from 7pm to 9pm there will be Hot Dogs, Kielbasa, and Brats. Cost is $10 for adults and children. Also DJ Music from 7pm to 10pm by The Cronies. Pioneer Power Antique Tractor & Gas Engine Club's 25th Annual Show - The show will be held July 19th at 7pm thru July 22nd at 2pm, also a Flea Market, and Crafts. It will be held at the Pioneer Power Antique Tractor grounds, 302 W M-55, West Branch. Come and enjoy all of the antique tractors and equipment.
Salad and more Dinner - Tawas Area Presbyterian Church on the corner of US 23 and Aulerich Rd, will be holding a Salad and more Dinner, Wednesday, July 25th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. There will be homemade salads, and desserts. Cost is $7 per person, $20 per family, children 5 and under are free, beverage is included.
Rogers City Nautical Festival - Come on out an enjoy the fun at the Rogers City Nautical Festival from July 31st to August 5th. Join the fun of the Queen's Pageant on July 27th, at the Rogers City High School Gym starting at 7pm. Enjoy the carnival rides provided by Schmidt Amusements, single tickets are $1.50, 10 tickets for $10, unlimited ride armbands are $20. There will be all kinds of fun events around town. 10th Annual Tawas Uncork'd - Come enjoy Michigan's Food, Wine, and Ale at the 10th Annual Tawas Uncork'd festival, August 4th from 12noon to 6pm, at Harbor Park in East Tawas. There will be food from area restaurants, local vineyards, and breweries, also enjoy the music. Cost is $15 for a Souvenir Glass and 3 tasting tickets, or $1 for just Wine tasting tickets. Sponsored by Friends of the East Tawas Library.
Harrisville State Park Recreation Area - August 1 in the day use area, from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, "Live with the Lamprey". Learn about the sea lamprey invasion, impacts and control measures in the Great Lakes. Program presenter will be Andrea Jaeger Miehls. Come join us for August 5 at 3 pm, excercise and fun on the trails of the parks trails. Open to all campers and the public. Exercises are level one/beginners workout. Continuing programs from Aug. 5-7 will begin with "Goodbye Lanternfly" at 10 am and at 2 pm discussions about the Mute Swans. Friday at 10 am will be about the Ash loving aliens with crafts and more. Ride & Run With The Rising Sun - Take a 10.5 mile bike tour, a 5k Run/Walk, or a 17 mile bike race through the winding trails of on of nature's best kept secret Lost Lake Woods Club. The Club will be hosting the event on Saturday, August 4th with the 3 events. Start with an asphalt roll-out to a gravel road to the gravel trails, enjoy the fresh air, beautiful scenery and nature. Check in will start at 7:30am with the bike tour/race at 9am, 5k at 9:30am. Cost is $25 per event with early registration before July 21st, or $30 per event the day of registration. Tawas Bay Waterfront Fine Arts Festival - Tawas Bay Art Council & Gallery along with the City of Tawas City will be holding their 58th Annual Fine Arts Festival on August 4th & 5th at Shoreline Park in Tawas City. The show will be from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
Sidewalk Sales - East Tawas will be holding it's Annual Sidewalk sales Thursday, August 9th thru Saturday, August 11th. Sale starts at 9am and runs to 7pm. So come on down to East Tawas and grab some great deals.
Battle For The Paddle - Oscoda-AuSable Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Challenge August 9th. The 4 Person Scramble will start with registration at 8am with the Shotgun Start at 9am. Registration Fees are $75 per golfer or $300 per team, entry fee includes 18 holes with cart at Red Hawk Golf Club. There will be fresh fruit, bottled water, tee gifts, cash prizes, raffle and a 50/50 drawing. Help support higher education, and "Battle" for your name on the Traveling Paddle. Sand Lake Summer Festival - Sand Lake Heights will be holding their Annual Summer Festival Friday, August 10th thru Sunday, August 12th at the Sand Lake Heights Community Center. Come and enjoy Music and Dancing, Kid's Tent, Arts and Crafts, Beer Tent, and the Famous Firemen Hamburgers! Antiques By The Bay - The 7th Annual Tawas Bay Antique Show, Saturday, August 11th, from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday, August 12th, 10am to 4pm. The show will be held at the Shoreline Park in Tawas City. Entry donation is $3, Seniors $2, children are free. Proceeds to benefit Shoreline Park.
Mud Jam - Come on out to the Mud Jam in Hale, starting Tuesday, August 14th thru Sunday, August 19th. Check out the Tug of War, Sled Pulls, Free Style, and Bounty Hole. Our Heritage Monthly Lecture - Join us for this months lecture on August 15th, at 6:30pm at the Iosco County Historical Society for "The Hello Girls". This lecture will be given by Lois Sprengnether telling about the U.S. Army telephone operators that helped win WWII.
150th Parisville Picnic - St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville will be hosting their 150th Picnic, Sunday, August 19th from 12 noon to 8pm. They will hold a polka mass at 11am, with a catered chicken and ham dinner served from 12 noon to 5pm. Cost is Adults $12, Children 6-12 $6, 5 and under Free. No cover charge for the Dance Tent.
